Therapist: Michele D. Green, LPC, NBCCH, CAMS

Michele Green, LPC, NBCCH, CAMS is a licensed therapist.  She graduated from Norfolk State University with a graduate degree in Urban Education, Guidance and Counseling.  Her undergraduate work was also completed at Norfolk State University where she focused on English and Speech Language Pathology. She is a co-Founder of Gathering Precious Stones which is a psychotherapy private practice in Atlanta, Georgia.  Ms. Green is extensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (NBCCH), is a Certified Anger Management Specialist, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. She is a certified Impact Trainer which provides training for foster parents and is also a certified CPR Trainer. She has created treatment and training curriculums on a wide range of mental health topics including parenting, staff development, and anger management.  She regularly facilitates skill-building group and individual training sessions on issues such as emotional regulation, anger management, and parenting. Ms. Green is a community activist and much of her work has been directed towards empowering women and families.  She has also focused intensely on work with at-risk and under-privileged youth within the community.

 


Clinical Medical Assistant, Paraprofessional:  Devin W. Green

Mr. Green is a graduate of United Education Institute. He has studied psychology at Georgia State University. Mr. Green has worked in the mental health field for 5+ years. He began facilitating peer groups as a teen, which sparked the creation of Club Awesome. Club Awesome is a mentoring program he helped to develop for Gathering Precious Stones. As the Clinical Medical Assistant, he ensures patient’s medical and mental health needs are treated as a priority. He works as a paraprofessional teaching cognitive behavioral skill building techniques to children. This is achieved through groups, individual sessions and VR/Virtual Reality. Mr. Green currently oversees the VR/Virtual Reality program at GPS. VR utilizes video technology to assist patients in facing their fears such as: anxiety, fear of public speaking, phobias etc.


 Supervised Therapist, Certified GA Teacher: Ericka M Jones, MA

Ms. Jones is a graduate of Norfolk State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education. Her graduate degree focused on Urban Education/Guidance and Counseling. Ms. Jones has been an educator/therapist for 20+ years. She is a philanthropist and strives to instill hope in each child she encounters. She has facilitated several charities and donation programs to promote healthy eating, provide clothing and food to under privileged children and adults. Ms. Jones has worked closely with Club Awesome, mentoring program. Ms. Jones is the Clinical Director of the Reading Therapy program. Reading Therapy/Bibliotherapy utilizes reading materials for help in solving personal problems or for psychotherapy. The benefits of reading therapy include and expand beyond reduced anxiety and stress.
